For a long time, I thought I was doing fine.
I wasn’t falling sick. I was managing the work, the house, kids, the noise, the everything.
But over time, I started noticing it.
The drop in energy.
The irritability.
The way I couldn’t focus or rest properly, even on calm days.
And how I’d keep going, just because I was used to it. I also started a new thing unknowingly – Procrastination.
It wasn’t a crisis.
It was draining, exhaustion, emptying. The kind that creeps in when you keep putting yourself last.
We often don’t ignore our health out of carelessness.
We just keep telling ourselves it’s not urgent.
That we will deal with it when things slow down – which, honestly, they rarely do.
Somewhere along the way, I had to reset.
Not with a big fitness plan or morning routine.
Just by listening to my body again.
Eating when hungry.
Saying no when tired.
Stepping out for air, sitting in nature for few minutes, not scrolling when I had five minutes free.
Looking after your health isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being steady.
It’s not about willpower alone.
It’s about care.
And especially for women, who often carry the emotional and physical load of everyone around them – this care has to begin from within. Now, Not someday.
So if you’ve been running on empty:
Try pausing.
Take stock.
Don’t wait for burnout to prove your point.
This is your reminder and mine:
- Drink the water.
- Take the walk.
- Say No when your body says “please.”
- Book that check-up you’ve been avoiding.
- Breathe before reacting.
- Rest – its your right and duty towards yourself
Health isn’t about being thin, aesthetic, or “in trend.”
It’s about being here in the moment. Having energy. Feeling well enough to show up – for yourself and the people you love.
You deserve to feel well. You deserve to feel like yourself.
