I didn’t start with a launch plan or a vision board.
No big announcement. No “new chapter” post.
It was just me, choosing to start. Quietly.
Stepping into consulting wasn’t some grand moment — it was a series of small, honest decisions.
I didn’t know how things would turn out.
I just knew I didn’t want to keep waiting — for the right title, the perfect role, or someone else to say, “You’re ready.”
The early days? Messy. Confusing.
Some weeks felt like everything was in motion. Others felt like I was invisible.
Some conversations lit me up. Some drained me.
I was building, yes — but half the time I was also unlearning.
But here’s the thing I’ve come to respect —
Slow growth holds.
It may not always be visible, but it’s real.
It’s the kind that asks you to show up before you feel ready.
The kind that teaches you to trust your voice, not the noise.
There were moments I missed structure. Missed validation.
There still are, sometimes.
But what I found in exchange was something I didn’t even know I needed:
Agency. Alignment. And a quiet kind of strength.
Now, as a consultant and founder, I’ve learned to stop rushing milestones.
I celebrate depth.
The clarity in a tough “no.”
The power of doing the work even when no one’s watching.
The satisfaction of a client finally understanding their customer better — not because of a hack, but because we asked better questions.
I’m still learning. Still building.
But I don’t feel behind anymore.
I feel rooted.
So if you’re in that slow season — not sure if it’s working, but still showing up —
I just want to say:
You’re not lost. You’re in progress. And progress is rarely loud.
If this resonates, drop me a line in the comments —
What part of your journey feels slow, but meaningful?
